D.C.S.S. Episode 20

I figured that since I’m listed on Anime Blog Toshokan now, maybe I should actually blog anime. So here you go. Just don’t expect another one anytime soon.

Actually, it’s because I am quite upset with the latest episode. I believe that I have finally figured out where the producers are taking the series towards. And let’s just say that I have started saving up for a plane ticket…

Misaki Itou 2006 Calendar

My calendar preorder is here! The calendar is about the size of my Maaya poster. I’m not sure if I can find a place to hang it from… Although the spine is designed such that each page can be torn off easily without any damage, I think I’ll just leave it as it is. ^^;

Misaki~

Misaki Itou, better known as Hermés from Densha Otoko, is a very popular model/actress in Japan. She also starred as Natsumi in You’re Under Arrest: The Drama.

Hi Anime Blog Toshokan

My blog is now part of the Anime Blog Toshokan listings (even though I actually talk a lot about other nonsensical stuff).

P.S. For those of you linking here, I want to add that my nick is “DarkMirage”. One word please. >_<

Be Ambitious, Guys!

I am addicted to Be Ambitious, Guys!, the opening single of Tick! Tack!. Although Miyuki Hashimoto songs always has always been quite meh for me, this one is actually good. I still think that YURIA would’ve done a better job singing the OP, though.

Be Ambitious, Guys!

1. Be Ambitious,Guys!
2. Pieces
3. Be Ambitious,Guys! (off vocal)
4. Pieces (off vocal)

My favourite part:

Sage-chan~

The c/w song, Pieces, is more like Miyuki’s normal style, which I don’t hate but I can’t say I really like it either.

Taglines

You may have noticed that the subtitle of my blog changes each time you refresh. There are actually about thirty lines in total.

God’s in His Heaven, all’s right with the world
I thought what I’d do was, I’d pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes
The last love song on this little planet

See-Thru Monitor

My LCD monitor can turn transparent!

MAGIC!

Ok, I lied. The effect isn’t very good because my screen has a default blue tint to it (which, by the way, sucks for Photoshop). Also the matte surface of LCD screens just doesn’t look like smooth glass. I guess a laptop with a glossy (“TruBrite”, “CrystalBrite” or whatever the company calls it) would make a better glass window. Anyway, here are some more hardcore people than me.

Kotori’s Chance?

Da Capo

Newtype December has spoilers for D.C.S.S. up to episode 23. Episode 20 to 22 are basically about Aisia and Sakura (one entire month worth of things I don’t care for). However, it seems that Kotori finally gets back into the race in episode 23. Woohoo!

Quick and crappy translation.

Silent Summer

Kotori, Miharu and the others have been giving their blessings and support to Jun’ichi and Nemu’s relationship as lovers. However, changes are slowly taking place in the hearts of these girls.

Sounds like the story climax that I’ve been talking about. Now there are only two paths left for the producers: follow the predictable ending used by the first season, thus disappointing Kotori fanboys like me for the second time, and risk having your little studio burned down to the ground, or go with Kotori and be able to sleep without having to worry for your lives.

Bah, it’s hopeless. Looks like I have to start saving up for a plane ticket and a copy of the Anarchist Guidebook…

Mai-HiME Movie?

The latest issue of Newtype also contains a three-page advertisement for Mai-HiME and Mai-Otome. It’s mostly nothing special, just a bunch of release dates for the DVDs and manga, but this single line is very interesting.

This line came from the description of Mai-Otome DVD Vol.1 First Pressing. The rest isn’t very important, but “劇場版「舞―HiME2」予告” translates to “Theatrical release Mai-HiME 2 preview”… Then again, “å¹»” (illusion) could either refer to the fact that its existence was officially unconfirmed until now, or that this “preview” clip is just a self-parody. I’m guessing the latter… Oh well.

Anyway, there’s also apparently a PSP game coming out for Mai-HiME titled Mai-HiME: Bakuretsu! Fuumi Gakuen Gekitoushi?!. It’s basically a 2D fighting game… I wish they just ported Unmei no Keitouju from PS2 instead.
