I finally changed my wallpapers…
BTW, I added a new php script to the website too… See if you notice what it does. (Hint: it concerns the banner)

Da Capo II (or as I like to call it, “The Nanaka Game”) playable demo is up for download from the official site!
A short introduction: The main character is Yoshiyuki Sakurai. He lives with his two foster sisters, Yume Asakura (younger) and Otome Asakura (elder). Somehow, he possesses the exact same powers as Jun’ichi did, which are snack-conjuring and seeing the dreams of other people. Koko Tsukishima is the shy introverted childhood friend, Minatsu Amakase is the banana-hating tsuntsun girl (i.e. complete opposite of her namesake), Akane Hanasaki is the over-developed classmate, Anzu Yukimura is the creepy under-developed classmate (think Ichigo from Onegai series except less cool) and…
Nanaka Shirakawa is the campus idol + hands down the best character in the game. Good genes from Kotori. *wub*
More stuff and screenshots after the jump.
Some people had been wondering why I did not blog about this zOMfG awesome series. In fact, I was too busy reading the first volume of the novel, finishing it only last night (after reading till almost 2am). I also watched episode 3 just an hour ago.
Other than the first episode, which I think is based on a story arc in a later novel, I have read all the things that have happened so far before watching them in the anime. I have to say that the anime is very, very good, but I still prefer the novel.
It’s random IRC chatlog time! This took place in SOS-dan, where Suzumiya Haruhi fans and people with supernatural powers gather.
<Edge> ThePaper: Are you still going with your blog?
<+ThePaper> yes… yes i am

That’s all folks.
Summer Days promo video translated and encoded by yours truly:
( Torrent | Direct download )
Summer Days is the sequel to School Days. The heroine of the story is Setsuna this time. Woot. The cast and setting are still the same, but the story takes place in a different timeline, one where Makoto meets Setsuna first. The promo video was released a few days ago. The game had been delayed many times and the current release date is 23rd June. The official website is here.
Now I can fail tomorrow’s math test with no regrets.
For the three you out there who wondered what I have been doing for the past few days: No, I did not die from the joy of rewatching D.C. II promo video over and over again.
Instead, I’ve been putting my time to good non-academic use by building an entire PHP script from scratch in order to sort and display a small handful of songs that I have transliterated and translated over the past three years. After a total of nearly 16 grueling hours of picking up PHP almost from scratch, learning how to use MySQL in PHP, coding and debugging, I have finally achieved perfection! Or close enough that I can’t be bothered to do anything about it anymore.

You can download a copy of the script to laugh at my horrible programming skills here. I’ve included an incoherent readme file to “explain” some stuff.
P.S. I didn’t realize I translated this many GSD lyrics…
Da Capo II promo video is out! Go download it now dammit!
The first half of the video is just scenes from the original game, but the second half is where all the Good Stuff ™ are. The new OP by yozuca* is good, but I can’t seem to locate the song title. If I have to take a guess at the title, I’d say “Kirari Sakura Yuki no Mau” since that is the first line of the chorus. Translations and screenshots of the promo video after the jump.
Take Maria-sama ga Miteru and up the yuri factor by 1000 times. That is what Strawberry Panic is about. Basically, Nagisa Aoi transfers to this all-girls catholic school that is collocated with two other affliated all-girls school and all three schools are full of sexually-confused nubile young girls. She meets Shizuma Hanazono, the etoile (french for “star”) of the three schools (something like the student representative) and is promptly sexually-assaulted by her. Nagisa’s roommate, Tamao Suzumi, also takes an immediate liking in her, i.e. stalking.
And I’m not even joking.
If you can’t stand yuri, stay away from this show. If you love yuri, give it a try. As much as I love Kannadzuki no Miko and Yamiboushi, something about this series feels… too extreme. I don’t know… I guess I’ll keep watching and see how it goes.
I just noticed this today. Apparently the popular PS2 game My-HiME: Unmei no Keitouju made by Circus, the company behind Da Capo, will be ported to PC.
My-HiME: Unmei no Keitouju – Shura will be released on the 30th of June. According to the official product information page, the port will contain the following additions:
All I can say is… Circus draws Shizuru good. <3 <3 <3
Hurray for spring! This season will rock, starting with the second season of School Rumble! The first episode starts from the roughly volume 8 of the manga. It manages quite well to be different from the manga and yet not differ much. You can recognize almost all the jokes from the manga, but the execution somehow makes them funny all over again.
OP Screencaps!
The new OP is “Sentimental Generation” (ã›ã‚“ã¡ã‚ã‚“ãŸã‚‹ã€€ã˜ã‡ãれ~ã—ょん) by Ami Tokito, whom I have not heard of before. It’s quite nice and catchy, though a bit slower Scramble. The ED is “Kono Namida ga Aru kara Tsugi no Ippo to Naru” (My next step comes only because these tears exist – ã“ã®æ¶™ãŒã‚ã‚‹ã‹ã‚‰æ¬¡ã®ä¸€æ©ã¨ãªã‚‹) also by her.
On a side note, Yuuka Nanri (of FictionJunction YUUKA fame) no longer voices Karen Ichijou (supposedly due to scheduling issues). Kind of sad. Also, that whatshisface guy who follows Kenji around seems to have a switch of seiyuu too. Other than that the cast remains the same as far as I can tell.
The next episode will be the long-awaited survival game episode. Final-fricking-ly. Itoko is going to pwn. <3
Speaking of which, volume 12 of School Rumble will be out this month! Hurray!!! Also looking forward to the rest of the new series starting this and next week. ^^
