I was in Hakone (more specifically Hakone Yumoto) yesterday and didn’t get internet access… Hakone has only two things: hotels with onsen and mountains. Just take a look at the pictures.
And for no particular reason, above is a picture of a half-eaten Dorayaki (as seen in Doraemon) and a half-eaten Meronpan (as seen in DearS and Shakugan no Shana)…
Well, since I am in Tokyo, it won’t be right for me to miss Fate/stay night, which just finished airing about a minute ago.
Anyway, to sum up episode 23…
We visited the infamous Yasukuni Shrine today. You know, the place that gets into the papers everytime a Japanese prime minister visits it. See pictures.
Well, it might seem like a weird place for a Chinese guy to visit, but it’s really a pretty normal tourist area. I’ve seen things like it in China before too and the displays are of course based on one’s intepretation of history… The center of propaganda in Yasukuni Shrine lies in the Yushukan, a museum of Japanese military history.
Wandered around East Ikebukuro in the morning and Shinjuku in the afternoon today. Finally got to visit the Kinokuniya main branch.
Although our hotel is located in Ikebukuro, it is on the opposite side of the train station from the major concentration of anime-related shops, so we didn’t take the time to visit there until now. (You know, Akihabara and all…)

Spent another day wandering around Akihabara. It’s amazing how you can waste so much time just looking through the stores…
My short report on today’s Summer Days event in Akihabara.
We arrived at Akihabara Station at about 9.30am. The tickets for the event were given out at 10am, but there was already a queue of around 50 people by the time we got there. Of course the event room sits 120 people so we were fine. The event itself was quite short. The guy in-charge of scenario for Summer Days gave an introduction to the setting of the game and the various characters.

We just arrived in Tokyo today. The plane ride took 7 hours and the train from Narita to Ikebukuro took over an hour. It was already dinner time by the time we checked into the hotel. Met up with BahamutSphere and his friends. Thanks to Bahamut for getting me Tick! Tack! novel.
I am be going to Akihabara tomorrow for Summer Days event. Yay~
Alright, it’s confirmed. I’ll be in Japan from the 6th to 16th with Pear. Going to collect the plane tickets from the travel agency later. Wai~~
I barely managed to gather just enough money (I hope). Probably going to have to control my spending there… lol. Anyway if anyone happens to be in the area and wants to meet up or anything, drop me an e-mail at nadesico [at] gmail [dot] com.
I’ll be staying at a cheapskate hotel in Ikebukuro. I think we should be spending at least 5 days in Tokyo. Not sure about the rest of the days… (fear our lack of planning). Maybe Osaka or Kyoto if possible. No idea how to get there or what to do after getting there, though. ã¾ãã€ãªã‚“ã¨ã‹ãªã‚‹ã ã‚ã†â€¦ãŸã¶ã‚“。

On another note, my copy of D.C. II is finally here! I missed the delivery on Monday. :( Well, I’m almost done with the game by now… Just Otome left to go.
Update: My flight has been postponed to the morning of the 9th (Friday), so you still have some time left to pass me the money… Sigh… I should be in Ikebukuro by now, but nooooo… Thanks to a certain somebody.
