Introduction

On October 10, Yahoo announced the Yahoo Time Capsule project. It plans to collate pictures, videos, text, sounds and drawings from people all over the world through the Internet and send this digital time capsule into space using laser beams.

On October 11, I stumbled upon its official site.

On the same day, I resolved to ensure that Haruhiism will be well-represented in the final time capsule. This will be accomplished through the submission of inconspicuous photos with Haruhiism logos in them.

On October 12, my first submission containing the logo was accepted after 14 hours of agonizing wait. This was quickly followed by three other submissions. Haruhiism Time Capsule Project was thus born.

This is a story of the triumph of moé and a test of our collective faith. In Haruhi’s name, we shall prevail! Haruhiism shall be preserved for eternity!

「HTCP」とは「Haruhiism Time Capsule Project」の通称で、直訳なら「ハルヒ主義・タイム・カプセル・プロジェクト」のことです。

私たち今暮らしている世界の状態を未来（つまり、みくるちゃん）の世代に伝えるために、Yahoo!はYahoo! Time Capsuleを作っています。このタイムカプセルは世界中のユーザーから写真、ストーリー、ビデオ、音声や絵を集めて、デジタルメディアとして永遠に保たれます（・・・はずです）。また、レーザーで宇宙に送る予定もあったりなかったりして・・・（長門さんの実家まで届くかな？）

まぁ、つまりデジタル・タイムカプセルというわけです。未来の人々に私たちの今を見せたいという気持ちでYahoo!が計画したプロジェクトです。（詳しくはここに）

では、「HTCP」はいったい何なのか？簡単に言うと、Yahoo!タイムカプセルを利用し、「涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱」とHaruhiism（ハルヒ主義）を永久にするためのプロジェクトです。

アメリカ、ドイツ、シンガポール、オーストラリア、いろんな国からのハルヒ主義信徒は「Haruhiism」のシンボルが入っている写真を撮って、Yahoo!タイムカプセルに参加します。たとえば、このような写真です。（ほかの写真はこちらに）
Photoshopなどを使わないのがルールです。

あなたも参加しませんか？

「ハルヒ主義」のシンボルをA4でプリントアウトして、それから、写真を撮りたいだけ他人の目を無視しながら撮ってください。できるだけクリエーティブな場所と状況で。
